We are national park junkies. Thanks to our daughter’s disability, we were able to get the Access Pass, which is a free lifetime pass for disabled individuals and their families. We always thank Little Bee whenever we enjoy a park, since it’s technically on her!
My son is obsessed with the National Park Mystery Series, and he loves collecting badges through the Jr. Ranger program.
Our most recent outing was to Petrified Forest National Park in northeastern Arizona.
This place is amazing. It is a sweeping desert filled with the remains of a prehistoric forest: trees made of stone.
It really feels like something out of a fairy tale. Every tree in the park is solid rock, and many of them sparkle with quartz crystals.
The park has the distinction of being a destination enjoyed by Albert Einstein, who visited with his wife in the 1930s.

Pretty cool, right?
What is your favorite national park, and which ones are on your bucket list?
